This insurer has proven to be quite dishonest, showing reluctance to honor a valid claim. I have been paying for my insurance for many years and recently submitted a claim for £2,500.00 due to storm damage to my property. This year, Italy faced unusual heavy rainfall and flooding, which caused the damage. I reached out to a trusted local builder for a fair estimate, which he provided. However, the insurer's adjuster responded with various counterarguments and an outright denial of the situation. They assessed the damage at a mere £1,053.00 after deducting my £250.00 excess. Feeling pressured by their tactics, I reluctantly accepted their offer, yet I will still have to pay the builder the full £2,500.00 to prevent further damage as winter approaches. Unsurprisingly, I will not be renewing my insurance with this company in 2026.
