I placed an order for a product on, say Day 0, and without prompting for delivery option, Interdiscount took the option chose by me for the last order, automatically. Realizing this, I immediately called customer center, as there is no cancellation or modification option on their site. The customer center staff suggested me to place a new order for the same product with home delivery option, and confirmed that they would cancel the first order and issue me a refund. Cut to Day 6: I got my second order home delivered but the first oder was not cancelled. Called the customer center again and this time they sent me a confirmation mail stating that they are retuning the product to the storage. Cut to Day 9: got a second notification that my order (the first one that was supposed to be cancelled) is ready for pickup. Called the customer center the 3rd time. This time the customer center executive - with full confidence, said - don't worry. no email, no phone call any more; I am doing the needed. Day 12: No action taken. No cancellation. Called again the customer center and the person received the call was the same person (he confirmed it after having apologized thrice) who attended my call on Day 0. -- Still no communication. I wonder if - the IT systems of Interdiscount are broken, or the standard operating procedures are not uptodate, or the staff working there is incompetent. This problem would have not been there if the so-called "competent" staff had cancelled my order the same day it was placed - as they also promised. DO NOT BUY anything from Interdiscount ONLINE. There are better online platform with full flexibility. Use them. I have learnt my lesson.
