Don’t repeat my mistake and don’t trust Interhome. I booked an apartment in the Swiss Alps. I paid for it, arranged flights for my family etc. We were supposed to arrive on the 7th of January. On the 1st i got a email from owners telling me that they cancel my booking because Interhome set the price wrong and didn’t respond to their messages. They also told me to book via another platform. I was shocked as i already paid and got confirmation emails & check-in details from Interhome some weeks ago. So i sent them an email explaining what happened and asked them to sort it out directly with the owner. Fun fact - price difference between interhome and booking.com was only 40€. So insanely rude to cause me so much stress just to earn extra 40€! I mean also the owners of the property… But i was still hoping that Interhome would deal with it properly. I believed mostly good reviews that i read online. Sadly NO. On the 5th of January = 2 days before check-in date they just sent me a generic email saying my booking was cancelled. No apologies. No explanation what caused it. This was TWO days before we are due to travel. They offered an alternative accommodation. NOTHING. And the refund obviously hasn’t arrived yet. One of the worst experiences with accommodation booking that I’ve ever had. So please AVOID and use other platforms instead. Don’t let them ruin your holidays as they did with ours forcing us to come up with alternative arrangements 2 days before start of holidays. Never again interhome.
