When we found out that I would never be able to carry a child of our own, we were devastated. Surrogacy didn't seem to be an option, as it is illegal in our country. On top, the only thing we knew about it were stories around women being exploited. And that's the last thing I would want... Despite that all, I started reading, watching video's, learning about the 'where and why and how'. And with that, my opinion changed and the doors towards having a family of our own opened..During my investigation, I had listed many agencies who support surrogacy journeys. Whenever I was reading about 'great support' for both IPs and Surrogates, Delivering Dreams would pop up.When I first met with Susan and Oksana, I knew. This is my place to be. A place where not only IPs come first, but surrogate mums as well. A journey together with respect for everyone involved.We did choose the hard way, trying to conceive with our own biomaterial. After a first round of stimulation and IVF and embryo transport to UA and 2 failed transfers, we decided to go for a last try. In Kyiv! This whole way Oksana has been a true support. From logistics to emotions! On site, Ivan has accompanied every single meeting at the clinic. All in all, even our stay in Kyiv was a great experience with DD. Unfortunately, without success. But then again, we can only trick nature to a certain point.Within no time, DD has allowed us to match with a wonderful donor, who will be starting stimulation soon. And we hope our journey continues towards a happy end!Within 1 year, I have gained so much experience but also heard many stories of others. Both with DD but also other agencies. And I can only say, that we made the right decision to let DD support us.Alltogether: Honest, clear and open communication, shifting gears quickly, support around the clock and never loosing sight of the health and wellbeing of the surrogate. Clear payment schedules upfront. So both the business and personal side are taken care of so well. Despite our unfullfilled wish sofar, I can only wholeheartedly say that we will continue this journey with Delivering Dreams. I couldn't have had better support and am looking forward to meeting Oksana when we pick up our little wonder ;-)
