Like so many couples, my wife and I met fertility challenges which causes so many questions for your future.Our journey of parenthood started in January as we discussed options like adoption or surrogacy. Living in the US, both adoption (for a baby) and surrogacy are expensive and require long wait periods.As we did our research, we found the option of surrogacy in Ukraine. Most people would likely have immediate concerns and questions about accomplishing child birth in a foreign country.My wife and I did lots of research on Ukraine surrogacy, reading many websites of clinics, reviews, videos, discussing with friends/family, anything to give us insights. After we determined Ukraine offers quality medical care in this field, our next step was to identify the best company to assist us on our journey.We initially identified 4 clinics/companies and did 1x1 interviews with each company.This is where Delivering Dreams enters the picture. Our first interview was with DD, with Susan and Ivan. They were both very helpful providing us an understanding of the dynamics in Ukraine, how surrogacy works, what to be cautious about, etc. What brought us trust was the sincerity around this sensitive process. It wasn't a conversation only "selling" what makes THEM great, but an education for us to learn what is important to know in general about making a decision on a company.We both knew their first impression sold us, but we were still curious seeing other options. We interviewed the rest of the clinics, reviewed their information provided. None of them gave us that connected feeling that DD did. Even while we spent time researching other companies, Susan and Anton remained in contact to answer questions.When we met with DD again and confirmed our commitment to using them, it has been nothing but easy sailing.- We reviewed and signed their contract, which is very straight forward. No gimmics. They answered questions we had very transparently.- Anton, our coordinator, has been tremendous keeping the process on track. We were given a high level overview of steps/timing. We maintain a group message chat and communicate almost daily with each other. He's super knowledgeable and thorough with every step of this process. It's A LOT to do but it feels much easier with Anton leading us.We are now at the Embryo testing stage, which is a major milestone. Their careful selecting of fertility experts and egg donor delivered us a well above average amount of eggs and embryos to use. It was surprising to us how many we got.So far, DD helped us accomplish the following starting in January to now March 31st:- Sign contract- Prepare all initial paperwork (there's a lot) to successfully apply for the surrogacy program in Ukraine- Have sperm donation done in US- Arrange for shipping to Ukraine (hats off to their partner Ihor for seamless transition)- Choose egg donor- Start PGD testingWe're looking forward to the next big milestones, and despite however God decides things work out with these next steps, we're very trustful and confident in Susan, Anton, and the DD team to support us.Below are some considerations all couples should review when making this choice:Biggest concerns: Understanding the dynamics in Ukraine, how this is accomplished, is there fraud, and will you feel alone doing this 10,000 miles away? DD relinquished those concernsEgg Donor: If using egg donor, this is VERY important to research the options of candidates available. Afterall this is half of the baby being created. Some companies claim they have hundreds in their database. We didn't find that to be true. DD was transparent from the start the process finding an egg donor is far more intensive than other places lead on, which creates distrust there may be certain games played out there. DD provided us good options of donors based on our traits we preferred and most importantly educated us how fast decisions should be made if you are settled on the right donor. A whole essay can be done on egg donor process, but simply DD made it a easy and comforting process to know we selected the right donor.IVF Process: DD ensures they are using the best clinic/doctors. They do this process ethically and transparently. As mentioned, we were able to produce a much larger amount of eggs and ultimately embryos than we could have expected.Communication: It's very important to have someone available to you daily for questions, for guiding this process through each step. Our group chat is invaluable and got us through these difficult initial steps. Anton answers us within the hour, if not sooner.
