I ordered two steel bottles, and they are of excellent quality. The delivery was very quick as well. I gave 4 starts instead of 5 for the following reasons: (1) After spending more than £30 I was eligible for a free bottle, however, I could only select a recyclon bottle. Not allowing selection of s steel bottle is a slap on the face of everyone who is environmentally cautious. While marketed as eco-friendly, recyclon is still made from plastic, and contributes to microplastic pollution. It just undermines the values of those genuinely committed to reducing plastic consumption and pollution. You should either give people a choice or not give such freebies at all. (2) The product description is more accurate on the follow up email you get after placing an order (titled 'thank you for choosing ION8') than the one on the website before purchase. As just one example, the part about 'washing' on the website states: "Hand wash or use a dishwasher on a cool wash cycle"; it gives equal weight to both washing methods, presenting them as alternative options for cleaning. It implies you can choose either. In the follow up email you read: "we suggest hand washing, but you can also use a dishwasher on a cool wash cycle"; it prioritises hand washing as the preferred method while suggesting the dishwasher cool cycle as an acceptable alternative. They both try to communicate the same practical advice, but the email version places more emphasis on hand washing as the recommended option, likely to protect the item from potential dishwasher heat or damage that might occur even on a cool cycle. Not sure who designed this strategy, but why can't you be 100% transparent and accurate? That's all what people want - a good, reliable product with accurate and transparent description.
