I am sharing this to help others make an informed decision based on a clear account of what has happened.
I cancelled my policy within the required timeframe and retained image receipts confirming the cancellation. The company has since stated they are unable to retrieve any record of this, despite that evidence. Despite confirming to me that no further payments would be taken, an additional attempt was made to debit my account.
No refund has been issued in relation to this, and the matter has not been properly resolved despite giving the company multiple opportunities to do so.
Customer support has been slow, inconsistent, and has failed to address the core issue. Communication does not align with actions taken on the account, which has made resolving this unnecessarily difficult.
Based on this experience, I would strongly advise not agreeing to any “free” services or trials without fully understanding how they convert into paid arrangements and how cancellation is handled.
If you proceed, keep detailed records of everything; confirmations, emails, and screenshots. I have had to rely on my own records as the company has been unable to locate theirs.
I have now escalated this matter to the ombudsman and will be leaving reviews to reflect my experience.
