I purchased a Roomba Max 700 Series Combo directly from iRobot in August 2025. By October the bumper had come off and the entire unit had to be replaced.
In December the replacement robot started displaying Error 517. I contacted support and was told it was a known issue and was sent rubber seals to fix it. The error returned again in February 2026. After more troubleshooting I asked for a refund but was told this was not possible as I was outside the 3-month return window, so instead I was sent a replacement dock.
The new dock arrived in March 2026. After using the mop once, the robot displayed Error 517 again and the troubleshooting still does not fix the issue.
This product has now had a full replacement, multiple attempted fixes and a replacement dock, yet the same fault keeps occurring. I have tried contacting iRobot again today via phone and webchat with no response.
Very disappointing experience for a premium product.
