I booked the Premium Plus Full Body Check-Up with Istanbul Med Assist in December 2025. The booking process was smooth, and my coordinator, Ayca, was professional, organised, and ensured that all tests at the hospital were completed efficiently. The hospital facilities and staff were excellent, and results were delivered and translated quickly.However, despite the positive medical experience, I am giving a 1‑star review due to what I believe are highly concerning business practices around additional test charges and medication costs.I was asked to take extra tests not included in the package. Although I agreed to the prices provided at the time, I later discovered that these tests were charged at rates far above market norms. For example, I paid €450 for a 24‑hour blood pressure monitor that typically costs €100–€150 in the UK, and €240 for a brief 2–3 minute eye test. Both charges were several times higher than normal private rates.I was also taken to a pharmacy known to the company, where I later realised I was significantly overcharged for medications—by hundreds of euros compared to standard prices in Istanbul and online. When I raised these issues with the company, I did not receive satisfactory explanations.Advice for future patients:• Always check the cost of any additional tests before agreeing to them.• Avoid purchasing medications through pharmacies recommended by the company.While the medical service itself was good, I would not recommend Istanbul Med Assist due to these pricing practices.
