I have been working as an online language teacher for years and recently decided to apply to teach Croatian on a certain platform. I invested significant effort into creating an appealing profile and video, and initially, everything went well. I attracted my first students and was enjoying the experience. My adult students also appreciated my teaching. However, the support team of the platform has been incredibly unhelpful, rude, and incompetent. Any assistance I required took an excessive amount of time to resolve, often requiring much effort on my part. There is no performance rating for the support team, nor an email address for teachers to file complaints about their services—despite the fact that they take a substantial fee from each lesson. When I finally earned enough for my first money transfer, I discovered that the platform does not support regular transfers via a popular payment service. After numerous exchanges clarifying that it was their fault and not mine, their response was dismissive, essentially telling me to leave their platform. Having received payments from multiple other language platforms without issues, it was shocking to be treated this way. I find their behavior appalling. While I understand that this review may not change anything, I hope it helps fellow teachers who might face similar challenges with this platform.
