Review Time
I started the course at Generation Italy in November 2025 for Junior Java Developer. I went through a three-month course learning and building a full-stack application using (back-end) Java with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks and Postgres as database, (front-end) JavaScript with Angular framework. It ended in mid-March.
This were taught by Riccardo who I cannot forget to mention. He made us feel at ease and always had good tips that will boost your confidence, and he goes above and beyond what is required in his role, for example he will be available at any time and be reachable even after the course is finished! He loves jokes but aside from that Riccardo has an extensive expertise and his words are gospel so listen carefully and take loads of notes,
P.S. he gets irritated if you don't ask questions and you will have to trust him initially because you may feel overwhelmed at first by the speed of the course.
The course included a soft skill part which may seem at first as not useful, but found to be almost as important, if not more important than technical skills when it comes to getting hired. The soft skills thought by Deianira follows a systematic approach that will allow you to express your values at the best, and Angelarita was there as an empathetic tutor/mentor for anything you may need during the course.
You will get to build meaningful connections and work with others as part of a team, which will be different each time. You will succeed if you push yourself in everything you do, ask lots of questions and become a quick learner (the course is very intensive) and take challenges as a positive thing because this will help you not only develop professionally, but also as a person. I would also recommend that you expose your thoughts as a mature and responsible student (any problems that may arise or proposing ideas) as quick as possible for the sake of you learning and making everything smooth.
At the end of the course, I got several offers and will start soon withing a major IT company as a Tech/Cloud Engineer.
