This review is about Jetpack VideoPress. I was looking for a service to store my videos and link them to my WordPress website. I did some research, not enough and ChatGPD recommended VideoPress as one option to get away from all the ads that YouTube free service adds to your videos. Also considered Vimeo but costs and storage capacity was too high. Jetpack sold their VideoPress as a seamless option to store and link videos to my WordPress site. The capacity and price were very reasonable and so a jumped into it too quick. The support group was very responsive but very confusing due to different agents with each email communication and mostly because of their very complex programing technical requirements that they laid out for my Hosting service to comply with or as they relayed Timeout errors would happen and VideoPress only worked sometimes and they were correct on this point. I added 4 videos then lost two of them, they just disappeared after I linked them to my website of course.ah crap!! I relayed 4-5 email requests from Jetpack support to my Shared hosting service, Dreamhost . Dreamhost addressed each one and even provided tech programing responses back. I am not a programmer and got lost as the Middleman. Soon Jetpack technical support stopped responding to my Hosting services responses , they said they were unlocking tasks and complying to Jetpack requests and I think they were. Why? Like I said because Jetpack stopped responding when I routed the technical responses from Dreamhost to Jetpack. There was obviously an extensive level of program handshaking that had to occur to get Jetpack VideoPress to work without timeout errors and Jetpack also insisted on several of the hosting unlocks as a method of monitoring my VideoPress Media downloads and to supposely allow more efficient technical support in the future. At the end of the day , I decided it wasn't worth the hassle after losing many video files added to my VideoPress Media library that just disappeared.I sent Jetpack a request to close my account after deactivating and deleting all their plugins on my site. I relayed that I would file a bank dispute within 4 days if no refund for their service. They did respond immediately and execute a refund that should come through in 5-7 days.
