Have been recently made redundant from my job, wanted to sign up to JSA and get help finding a job similar to my old job. Was told I had 4 weeks to find a job, if I didn’t find one I would have to apply for any job and maybe take a part time job. Had a job coaching meeting booked in for 3 weeks time, would have been pointless, as a week later I would of had to apply for any jobs.This is not support, this is ticking a box and pushing people into any roles and not taking into account their skills in the workplace. I withdraw my application, disgusted with how this process is carried out. Don’t see what the point of a job centre is.
