My experience renting a flat from Johns&Co was the worst I have had in London. The lettings agents are friendly and helpful as you'd expect, but as soon as you sign the paperwork and get passed on to property management you're on your own. From the bathroom mirror falling off the wall and requiring six months of constant chasing to get replaced (after them trying to place the blame on us), to three weeks of chasing to get the agreed deposit amount returned, which was supposed to be returned within 5 working days, it was a nightmare.
To get hold of our property manager, Princess, was nearly impossible, as she would never answer the phone or respond to emails - until I reach out to her management and suddenly she is all over it, albeit with no apology or remorse. Twice I had to contact the Director of Management Services directly because I was at a dead end. I would not get proactive updates about repairs, and instead had to chase weekly, if I was lucky enough to get a response.
Multiple missed commitments for repairs resulted in me taking days off of work for nobody to show up, and sloppy handiwork from their budget contractors meant that the mirror had to be fully replaced twice during our short tenancy, as well as most other repairs requiring multiple visits because they did not have the skills or items required to complete the repair (if they had even been told what they were coming to work on...)
I strongly recommend that you steer clear of this agency and look to rent directly unless you enjoy giving your money to people that couldn't care less about your wellbeing.
