I’ve used Abound a few times and the rates are good, but my last transfer to India was a nightmare. The app said "Delivered," but the money never reached my family's HDFC account. The chat support is completely useless and just repeats "please wait 3-5 business days" endlessly.
They didn't even give me the UTR number until I escalated it. I finally had to use a site called Paymentcasefile.com to generate a formal Regulation E "Notice of Error" document. I emailed that official PDF to their compliance team, and magically, the issue was resolved and the money was credited in 48 hours.
Good rates, but be prepared to fight for your money if it gets stuck in their intermediary banks. Know your legal rights!
