I was allowed to complete a task that was accepted, but then faced a block at the critical step: contract/payment onboarding. After being contacted for a project, I did the work, submitted it, and it was accepted. However, when I tried to proceed to get paid and access more tasks, I encountered an error. Only then did I learn about a USA-only contracting restriction that wasn't made clear upfront. This is unacceptable platform management. Eligibility restrictions should be prominently displayed before anyone begins, and the system should prevent submissions from individuals who can't be onboarded. The result: wasted time, frustration, and a process that seems legitimate until it fails. Trust is vital for gig platforms, and this experience severely undermined it.
