After realising our land-line wasn't working, we contacted Customer Services to report this. The lady I spoke to the following day for a progress update was very helpful, she listened and reassured us that an engineer would be looking into the fault for us the very next day. Thank you to Brennan, the Open Reach Engineer who rang this evening (18/02/26) to say our phone was now working again, and was happy to explain what had caused the issues. He was working in the dark on a cold night. We are relieved to have the phone back on. 10/10 for customer services and Brennan the engineer.
