Having seen deeply unsettling footage, I am appalled by how these turkeys are treated. The suffering caused to these vulnerable animals is both unethical and inhumane. I encourage others to recognize this issue and reconsider their support for this business.
Disgraceful treatment of animals! The company has been revealed for shocking animal cruelty and violence. Their response was simply that it was "taken out of context." In what situation is this acceptable?
- Snapping turkeys' necks
- Throwing improperly handled turkeys over the fence and leaving them to suffer on the ground
- Kicking, hitting, and abusing them
- Terrorizing them and cramming them into crates, often injuring their wings or heads
- Torturing them with CO2 gas I urge everyone to watch the graphic investigation footage available online. If you purchased a turkey from this company, you have been deceived—demand a refund!
This vile company has been exposed barbarically abusing the poor innocent turkeys. Swinging them round by the neck, then leaving them suffering on the floor before being put in the bin still alive.They employ animal abusers and they are abusers as well.THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
Wish I could zero stars. The treatment of these sentient beings both prior to and during slaughter is abhorent. Turkeys feel pain similar to mammals, so they experience pain just as humans, cats and dogs do. Google it for yourself. So I guess torturing the birds is akin to the dog meat trade in China where they 'think' the meat is more tender as a result of torture and abuse prior to killing of the dogs. Absolute travesity. Please look out for the Joey Carbstrong and his expose on this company and their treatment of these poor turkeys. Absolutely shameful and absolutely no need for wanton cruelty.
They advertise as 'humane' and concerned about the welfare of the turkeys - if that's what you think you're paying for, you're sorely mistaken. Turkey's are kept in cramped conditions, when the turkeys are killed they cram them into cages and gas them which can take upto 3 minutes to slowly suffocate them. And the ones that don't get gassed? Staff swing them around by their heads to break their necks. I've seen the footage to confirm this. This company is no different from any other factory farm - cruel and abusive in the name of profit.
