I ordered fish food through Amazon but it was due to be sent directly from Kettering Koi via DPD. The prouct was advertised on Amazon as including postage. We asked for the package to be sent to a friends address, they normally have no problems recieving products from Amazon or DPD. The parcel was not delivered. First attempt was made when no-one was at home, the parcel was not left in a safe place as usual and a failed delivery note was NOT left. Allegedly an attempt was made the next day, the family were at home but heard nothing and again neither the parcel or a failed delivery note were left. The parcel was returned to Kettering Koi andI was given a reduced refund. On complaining to Kettering Koi I was told £9 had been retained as the parcel had to be returned, I was also told that these days, it is up to the customer to keep a view on tracking details and any messages from the carrier who could have organised another delivery time. The parcel was returned so fast we did not stand a chance. We found a message from Amazon, as an email, that was sent shortly after the failed first delivery but we saw it too late to do anything about it.Beware of this situation..... We basically paid £9 for DPD to carry a parcel about on their van. We were not given adequate notice to sort out an alternative delivery and we can not find anything in Kettering Kois terms and conditions to say that this scenario could happen.
