***AVOID!***We rang Key-Assist as my car keys were stolen. We asked if we could be provided with new keys that would not only mean that the thieves could not get in the car with electronic fob but also manually using the keys. We reiterated and confirmed this multiple times with the call handler. We explained we could get replacement keys for £200 but this would mean the thieves would still be able to get into the car manually. Key assist reassured us that the keys their locksmith would provide would ensure that the locks and keys would not allow the thieves to enter/start the vehicle. They charged us £470 for this service. We were also told that the job would take 5 hours. On the day the locksmith, who is sub contracted, arrived at 6pm when we were told to expect him at 9 am!He then finished the job in 55 minutes and had provided a new set of keys but not changed the locks. We called key assist back and asked them to listen to the recorded call - which clearly showed we had confirmed that thieves would not be able to get in the car with the new set of keys. The lady we spoke to, challenged this and refused to reimburse or refund any money for misleading us and for the poor service on the day, having waited all day for the locksmith to arrive. Their policy states a £130 non refundable deposit if we cancel as customers but how about when they mislead and turn up late?!Whatever you do, do not use key assist!
