I have stopped going to KFC a couple of weeks ago in Thunder Bay. They refused my cash due to the covid, which didn't impress me as I don't have a banking card or a credit card but they weren't wearing gloves either. There has not been a case where covid was transmitted through exchange of monies, if there was that is what the gloves are used for and washing your hands, they do have access to soap and water. I am extremely upset with KFC to refuse cash only because they take cash in the good times which could result in employees getting the flu (other than covid). The food is not very good anyway, I am going to Chester Fried Chicken (higher quality of chicken) and also the staff at the KFC's here in Thunder Bay are still not wearing gloves after 9 weeks of shut down. I went to KFC for the first time in weeks even knowing that they don't accept cash which is a crock. When I went to one of the KFC's here in Thunder Bay on May 12, 2020 at around 7:00 pm there was another gentleman who ordered a 4 piece box meal which came about $12.00 and he wanted to pay cash. The cashier accepted the cash and told the customer that she would use her bank card to pay for the 4 piece box meal but they couldn't give him any change back from the $20.00 as they didn't have it so he told the cashier to keep the change. I guess you can pay by cash only if you leave a big enough tip.
