Incompetence, Miscommunication, BureaucracyAccount#2023XXXX440112I have been facing an incredibly distressing and frustrating situation involving Kia Finance, Liberty Mutual Insurance, and Progressive Insurance since June 10th. The ordeal has led to financial hardship, emotional distress, and a seemingly never-ending bureaucratic nightmare.Liberty Mutual has been attempting to initiate a claim to pay off my car loan, but Kia Finance has been refusing to allow them to start the claim and make the payment. This unreasonable refusal has forced me to continue making monthly payments on a vehicle that has been deemed a total loss and is no longer in my possession. This situation has caused significant financial stress and has made it increasingly difficult for me to manage my other expenses.To make matters worse, Kia Finance's customer service representatives, including their supervisors, are based in an overseas call center and have displayed a consistent lack of empathy, poor English skills, and an unacceptable level of rudeness. They have demonstrated a complete disregard for the concerns of American customers, leaving me feeling helpless and unvalued as a customer.The incompetence and inefficiency of Kia Finance's Total Loss Department have compounded my frustrations. Each time I submit a request for assistance, it takes them a week to respond, only to inform me that the documents were not accepted, forcing me to start the process all over again. This unacceptable and unnecessary bureaucracy has turned a simple task into a complicated, drawn-out ordeal, leaving me in a state of limbo with no clear resolution in sight.I am appalled by Kia Finance's unethical practices, which appear to be intentionally designed to make the claims process as difficult and time-consuming as possible. Their actions directly contradict the reasonable and efficient administrative dealings one would expect from an American company.In light of these ongoing issues, I am submitting this complaint to the Better Business Bureau in the hopes that they will intervene and address the appalling conduct of Kia Finance. I strongly believe that Kia Finance must be held accountable for their actions, and I implore the BBB to ensure that no other customers have to endure the nightmare I have experienced.
