I was impressed with the facebook infomercial for the KDP program and after some research, I thought this would be a great way to use the creative side of my brain, plus make some money! I started the lessons right away and then got "the call"! I was surprised, and a bit disappointed, that to really be successful in this program, you need to join the K-Express program which is available for those who "qualify". You get 12 months of support, one-on-one coaching, have 5 books published, special support that the KDP folks don't get, etc...all for an astounding price tag! After the initial shock, I agreed because I had already committed and really wanted to follow through...and be successful. It was not what I had planned to spend in addition to the cost of publishing books, but I am enjoying the journey. After several weeks and a couple of coaching sessions, I would recommend anyone to join the K-Express, especially if you're busy and can't keep on target by yourself. It helps having the extra assistance and being gently held accountable! Honestly, I wish all those who just bought into the basic KDP program good luck...I know I wouldn't be able to succeed without the extra support and training!
This program is not 100% money back guaranteed as advertised in their video. Do not put any money down. You have to wait 6 months and produce a book before they return any money which will cost thousands of dollars. I don't have the money to produce this book. Although, I do have awesome ideas for a series of books but will not be able to see this happen. So, if you you are trying to make money you will have to have money to make it.
I think the program is very interesting (although I am only at about 60% completion). There is much more to it than I originally thought. The material is very well laid out and sequentially presented in a clear, concise and very organized format. I’m really enjoying the honest, straight forward direction from their line up of presenters and coaches.The one point of contention that I have to date, is what seems to be their endless desire to upsell you on additional products.
Topics are interesting and informative for our business. Resources are helpful. Nice to be able to lean on blueamazon to ask questions or help. Like how it moves along quite quickly, so the teacher does not get held up. Answering questions and thier back up also helps out to answer questions.
