I purchased a cooker hood CH90BS-2. From hi fi tower (an approved distributor of Klarstein products) in April 2014.
Unfortunately the grease filters (which are removable ) were damaged by ourselves whilst in use. No problem I thought , I will simply contact Klarstein and order some more filters as I have done with other products with removable filters and order some . I was not expecting free replacements as I had damaged these filters.
A call to Klarstein informed me I had to go back to hi fi tower to order the parts . Hi fi tower were initially very helpful and took the order . A few days later they emailed saying I had to return the whole unit. I called back assuming there had been some mistake as the cooker hood is now bolted to the ceiling and all I need is filters!
I was informed Over the phone that filters were not available , and that contacting Klarstein would be no use as they don't have a spare parts department .
I called Klarstein again and was informed no filters are available . I asked for an email address to complain and after 3 emails explaining my disappointment at the lack of support I have not even received a reply as courtesy.
The current situation is I have a £300 cooker hood , which is useless as less than 12 months after purchasing no replacement filters are available .
I would advise potential purchasers to consider if they want to buy a filtration / extraction unit for which replacement filters are not available.
I cannot recommend Klarstein cooker hoods.
