I had a horrific experience with CarTrawler and Klass Wagen at Brasov Airport. This felt less like a professional car rental service and more like a coordinated scam.The Issues:False Promises: We were told someone would be waiting for us at the airport. After waiting 30 minutes, nobody showed up. We had to call them ourselves, and it took another 15 minutes for a driver to arrive.Unprofessional Handling: The driver was extremely rude and literally threw our luggage into the trunk without securing it. Our belongings were slamming around the back of the car the entire drive.The "Office": We were taken to a miserable, filthy house. The "office" was just a dirty room with one table and three chairs—no computer, no professional setup, just a disgusting environment.The Credit Card Trap: Although I had already paid for the rental and extra insurance online using my debit card, they refused to give us the car because I didn't have a credit card.Extortion Tactics: They told us the only way to get the car we had already paid for was to pay an additional €310 for 7 days for their specific insurance. This is pure extortion.Conclusion:They are happy to take your money online via debit card, but they use the "credit card" rule as a way to force you into buying overpriced local insurance or leaving you stranded. We ended up walking away without a car and without a refund.Avoid Klass Wagen and CarTrawler at all costs. They are unprofessional, rude, and operate like scammers.
