I am completely devastated and furious about my experience with the service in Budapest. What should have been a simple car rental turned into a nightmare of deceit and unprofessionalism. I booked through a platform and purchased their fully comprehensive insurance, believing everything was covered. However, when my husband went to pick up the car, the staff rudely demanded he buy additional insurance and pay extra charges on top of the deposit. This felt like fraud – we felt extorted and trapped in a high-pressure situation. The staff’s attitude was hostile, leaving us with no choice but to abandon the car entirely. Now, we’re stranded without transportation. This has caused immense stress during a vulnerable time. We’ve rented cars worldwide without issues, but if this is how things work here, I’ll never return. I am demanding a full refund and an apology, but nothing can undo the damage. Do not trust this service – they’ve ruined our trip and put our health at risk.
