My experience with Klasswagen was quite disappointing and left me feeling misled.
What I found particularly strange was that my credit card was rejected without any clear explanation. This was a PayPal Credit Mastercard, and there was more than enough available credit on the card to cover the deposit, yet the terminal simply declined it and no proper reason was provided.
Because of this, I felt the situation was pushing me into a corner. It seemed like my only options were either to purchase the very expensive full insurance offered at the desk or risk being left without a car late in the evening.
To make matters worse, I originally booked a Toyota C-HR, which in my opinion is a more premium vehicle. Instead, I was given a Peugeot 2008, which felt like a downgrade in terms of value and overall quality.
In the end, the whole situation left me with the impression that I was being charged extra for insurance I never intended to take, and then still receiving a lower-value car within the same category. Greater transparency about payment requirements and vehicle substitutions would make a big difference and help avoid situations like this for future customers.
