Their KooFr client is REALLY inefficient and even unusable in some case. Please note that I've edited my review fully; their answer below is completely obsolete.• Slow speed:They cap your upload speed at around 10MB/s, arguing a fair-use policy. In reality, they seem to have such a limited bandwidth that they have to restrict users. Here is exactly what the support said: "Bandwidth is distributed by fair use policy among all active users and average speeds are usually LIMITED per user between 10-20MB/s at most times"In comparison, some of their competitors (like Mega) let you upload at around 80MB/s or more.• No transparency:In term of privacy, they haven't been audited. They haven't published a whitepaper to explain HOW exactly they protect your data (their competitors like ProtonDrive, Mega or Filen have all published whitepapers to explain their encryption methods).Besides, they rely on server-side encryption by default (whereas their competitors use zero-knowledge encryption)• Client missing basic functionalities:Their client doesn't show the ETA of uploads/downloads clearly. If you want to have that information you HAVE to use external tools, like Rclone (or read all the log files)...When using the network drive, the client cache everything on your C: drive.Want to change that? Impossible.Example: If you want to upload a 50GB folder, it will be copied to your C: drive THEN uploaded to KooFr. You don't have that space? Too bad for you.• Service poorly coded:When trying to synchronize a large folder with only 50 files, it took HOURS for the client to realize that 47 files were already uploaded. Why did it take hours to compare 50 files and upload the 3 remaining ones...• Customer service:Besides, when you leave a negative review, they try to flag it for defamatory content (I'm not the only one, if you read the other reviews). How can you trust such a company?• Good news:If you've purchased a lifetime plan through StackSocials, you can get a refund.
