Avoid the Cheadle (Stockport) branch if you value decent customer service. I arrived approximately 20 minutes late for a 9am slot due to unexpectedly having a sick child at home and then getting delayed by roadworks. While I understand that lateness affects scheduling, the receptionist’s attitude was unnecessarily hostile and aggressive.
I was met with a cold "What are you here for?" followed by a lecture stating that because of my lateness, my car would now not be looked at until the end of the day. When I questioned this "end of day" penalty, I was told, "Well, we’ve been here since 8:30, you should have come then."
This makes no sense - why send a 9am booking confirmation if customers are expected to be there 30 minutes early because the staff happened to start their shift?
The lack of empathy and the "customer is always wrong" tone was enough for me to leave immediately. I’ve used other Kwik Fit branches with great success, but the appalling attitude at this location made me drive away. I would rather pay a completely different garage than reward this level of rudeness with my business.
