Misleading contract, missing device and increasing charges
My experience with Kynex has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Their sales team contacted me and offered a business contract including an iPhone and a laptop. I agreed based on the promises made during the sales call. However, after waiting around six months, they only delivered the laptop and the iPhone was never sent.
Despite the phone never being delivered, they continued charging me every month for both the phone and the laptop, which is completely unacceptable and feels like mis-selling.
On top of that, almost £300 was taken from my bank account in one month, even though my agreed monthly payment was supposed to be around £120. Even £120 is already very expensive for only two lines and one laptop, and I do not understand how the charges keep increasing over time without a clear explanation.
I also later discovered that extra numbers had been added to my O2 account without being properly explained to me during the sales process. When I raised this issue, I was told that I had signed the contract, but these additional lines were never clearly explained at the time of sale.
Overall, I feel that the sales process was misleading and not transparent. Because of this experience, I now plan to move to another provider, as I do not feel confident continuing with this company.
I am also considering raising a formal complaint with Ofcom and Trading Standards regarding the way this contract was sold.
