Great shoe, but could improve. I tried the cx219 and cx239 microfiber (white/white).Cx219 toe box is narrow, BOA straps get snagged on the tongue material, in sole is thin and hard; and may need to buy a separate insole for long distance rides, single BOA. Cx239 is comfortable in width and insole, fit is great for wide feet. I am 271mm length and 113mm width, and size 43 wide fit great. There is a pressure point on the top of my foot from the single tongue flap that digs into my ankle tendons. I knew it would cause pain on top over long rides so I ended up returning the shoes. The curved toe box makes my big toe curve slightly inwards, which I’m not sure would have been an issue or not since I returned them due to top tongue pressure point. I read online that the leather versions (black, white/black) are more forgiving on the top pressure point, but weigh more. Really wanted to like them. Wore them around the house to see if they’ll loosen up top, and threw socks over them and tested on the peloton, and knew the top pressure point would bother me over medium distance. I ride 100+ Miles weekly in the summer and need something that will work for the annual 200 mile one-day ride. To their credit, although the shoes didn’t work out, they were the best fitting out of all of the “claim to be wide” cycling shoes out there. Hopefully the next iteration will fit better. I have yet to find a wide road cycling shoe that fit. Just bit the bullet and ordered SFA Leviathan’s, but don’t have high hopes. My current gravel shoes are okay, but heavy and flexible.
