I feel for the people of Lambeth having this council looking after them. Absolutely shocking council who simply ignore genuine complaints and instead protects and covers up, for example, the behaviour of lazy members of staff who get paid extremely well to do nothing all day but post on social media instead. No wonder councils are going bankrupt.But then when serious question marks hang over the people at the Top and their behaviour, it is little surprise that lower ranked staff members treat this place like a holiday camp.A Chief executive on £185k a year charged with Drug and driving offences,1.5 million pounds of ratepayers money being used to refund for gagging leaseholdersCovering up a child sexual abuse scandal with the Met police Under investigation for its complaints handling last year which has had no impact because it is currently just as bad if not worse at dealing with complaints.Clearly with the list of serious problems this council has , staff skiving and getting paid to do so is not serious to those who run this council. And elected councillors don't give a damn. They have just been relected to sit on their backside for 4/5 years and themselves get paid well to do very little. This council laughs at the ombudsman, uses 'confidentiality ' as the default to avoid answering serious questions asked and adopt a 'nothing to see here ,move on' attitude to avoid accountability and simply wastes ratepayers money. How the people of Lambeth accept this ,is beyond me. Judging by other complaints on this site ,this council needs to be taking into special measures by Keir Starmer and Labour and I would urge everyone to contact Angeal Rayner with your views and concerns. It is seriously worrying just how badly rum this council is and the bottom of the barrel dregs it employs.It is truly shocking that nothing has been done about this council before but hopefully, with pressure, things will change. To think we have people desperate for work when you look at certain members of staff who are well paid and do nothing all day but moan on social media when they are paid to work. One person in paticular ,Kevin, clearly moans about how bad Labour are and his comments are clearly based on his personal experiences working for this dysfunctional and inept council. Do look up @KEdge23 on X and make up your own views. But please do go back for some considerable time to get a fuller picture. If not posting his views he reposts others and all during the working day. Council do nothing about it. Shocking when ratepayers are struggling as a result of the party he supports the Conservatives. Hopefully he has been warned and his activities now stopped. Residents have a right to answers
