Something is really off with subscriptions when it comes to Langotalk (i subscribed via website, with apple). There was no track, no proof of any payment. I signed up, started my free trial (couldn't use the site or even look at it before choosing the free trial+one year subscription option) and then after few days i've learned that the only way to cancel the subscription is via confirmation of the payment WHICH I DIDNT RECEIVE. So basically there was no way to cancel it, there is nothing in the settings regarding subscription which is already shady, it seems like they want you to just give up on trying (it's kind of a fun game: try to not lose your 80$ or more. time to solve this puzzle: 7 days, most people will start on the last day). Contacting them via email (reply time is 24-48h so not that bad) lacks specific information, you still don't know whats happening, it took me 7 hours of sending mails before we solved the problem. Somehow my subscription got cancelled itself so I am lucky I won the game. They use Paddle for payments and there was a problem on their side too. Still don't know what happened. Not really my favorite way to spend time. I encourage everyone to try alternatives since every other platform that I know of has just a simple button "cancel the subscription" and clear instructions. I advise to not support companies of this kind, as they probably want you to have a hard time figuring how to cancel, to get some extra money if you fail to do so.
