The delivery was missed. They use Royal Mail, which is less reliable than other couriers for communication. I would not buy from Lanx again due to the lack of updates on the item's delivery status, including missed deliveries or delivery confirmations. When I reached out to Lanx about their poor communication, their response essentially stated that it was a problem with Royal Mail. Other online vendors do send updates, but Lanx does not.
I received the following automatic response from Lanx- copied and pasted below. They would like to charge £6 for premium delivery for purchases over £200. I am returning the item.

"We get that Royal Mail’s communication can be patchy and, unfortunately, some delivery issues are out of our hands. If you’ve rescheduled for collection at a pick-up point, please note we can’t take responsibility for what happens after the address is changed, as per our policy.
If your parcel hasn’t arrived after one more working day, let us know and we’ll look into it further for you. We also offer a DPD Premium Tracked Service for future orders if you want a different carrier – this is a paid option (£6) and, like Royal Mail, comes with full tracking.
