I booked my stag do with last night of freedom. There was 10 of us, we chose Nottingham. The hotel I was lead to believe we had was Jurys inn. Looked great 4* reviews and I only found out we were staying in Britania hotel on the day of the stag do. I sent numerous e-mails in the days leading up to our trip, but only got sent the info on the day. This hotel was nothing short of dreadful, all 5 rooms we had were in a very bad way. Tiles damaged in bathroom, bedding looked like it hadn't been changed for some time, I lifted up one of the beds in my room and there were fag ends and rubbish under it. The milk near the kettle was out of date and the kettle had black lumps floating in it. Don't worry it gets worse.... The shower curtain had what I can only guess was blood over it. Washed off with the shower so it must have just been left. The breakfast was the most discussing thing I have evert eaten, the staff were rude and didn't care. We all went to McDonalds in the end to eat.
Now to the actual stag do, the events day was excellent, everyone had a great time with that.
The casino entry was a load of rubbish, apparently we wasn't on the list. We managed to get a £1 free bet because there was a few of us. This was sold to me as something that was booked by LNOF but obviously not.
The 4 course Indian was not what was stated either, it was actually 3 courses and one of those was popadoms. There was a set menu with very little to choose from. What we did have was good, but again over exaggerated to me when sold. On the Saturday night we apparently had guest list entry to revolutions bar. We had to be there by 6. We called the LNOF rep and said we wouldn't make that time, he said that's fine just don't be any later than 7. We went there for a couple of drinks, but we walked straight in as guest list entry don't start until 8pm I checked with the door men to see if we were on the list and they said no! So another item on our list we were sold wasn't true. The only thing that was true was the entry to Oceana night club. We spoke to the manager there and asked if we brought 2 bottles of vodka at £70 each, could we go to VIP she took us up and we all got wristbands, it really made the night and we actually brought 5 bottles in the end.
Overall the input from LNOF ruined the weekend, it only went well once we done our own thing. On top of all this, in the beginning when I booked it, we had an events pack but I was called a week later, after I booked. LNOF told me the slot I had was double booked. I had to change the time and events to something different. For this they gave us the Indian meal for free.
In the beginning I was offered the same deal with a meal from OFF limits, and it was about £10 cheaper each. But the guy from LNOF told me that LNOF use much better hotels than anyone else and it was well worth the extra £10 because their customer service was the best too.
When I called on the day about the hotel I was told to just go, it has good reviews and it's a good hotel. Jury inn was available when I booked, I checked on their website. So I doubt they even use that hotel. Bad advertising poor selling, too many things turned out to not be as they seemed.
