I was gifted an airbnb gift card over 2 years ago and have been trying to use it ever since. Every time I go to use it, it won't allow me to redeem it. I started by contacting airbnb support and they directed me to the Launch Gift Cards support e-mail where they told me that the only way to resolve this is to have the person who gifted it to me contact the store they bought it at with the receipt and photo of the card. As if someone is going to have all of that info two years later - not to mention you should not have to bother the person who gifted you a gift card to fix the issue. It's not like it was a Starbucks gift card that you would normally use the next day. It took 2 years to find the right time to plan the trip and now you're telling me I need to trace back to 2 years ago and get the person who gifted it to me involved for that to MAYBE fix the issue. I am currently out a $200usd airbnb credit and they couldn't care less. I can't believe airbnb and other companies even involve third parties like this to be in charge of their gift card services.
