I live in Greece . August 1st and i preorder a very expensive monitor from Ldlc.com (2200 Euro) . With the monitor there was also a promotion running and the first 30 orders had a 300 Euro soundbar with them . I paid with my paypal account and the amount of money was put on hold on my credit card indicating that everything was ok with my paypal and my credit card . I was then suspiciously asked for a photo file of my id . I have never met this strange demand nowhere in any EU shop until now especially for using Paypal . I uploaded my id and then i saw that i was validated and everything was once again ok. Next day i was checking for the total amount of money i was charged and i noticed that while they legally charged me another 4% because of Greek VAT being at 24% while on France 20%
