The gardens are beautiful and the children's park is quite good, but my negative review is due to several issues: 1. Pricing — far too high for what is provided. It wouldn't be as frustrating if other issues weren’t present. 2. No outside food or drink — charging high membership fees and expecting families to buy overpriced food feels greedy. 3. The discount for on-site food was removed mid-year. 4. The illuminations had too few tickets for members, favoring full-paying non-members, which feels greedy again. 5. Charging for spectators at the inflatables event is just too much. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Restoration began when the present owner, Penny Streeter OBE, acquired the estate in 2017. Penny and her team are dedicated to restoring, maintaining and further improving the gardens and buildings, so that the public can once again experience their beauty and special qualities.
