Bought Air Relief Valve ECX1322A (Item 44007) for $12.49 + tax. This is a little plastic screw on top of the filter case to bleed the air after cleaning the cartridge. Probably it’s worth $0.30 to $ 0.50. Our filter is from 2005, the first time we had to replace this bleed screw was in 2018, it was made of Nylon, unbreakable. Since then we had to replace it 5 times, it looks like they switched to cheap plastic, the last screw lasted about a month. I took it back to the store in Apache Junction and the rude answer of the clerk was “there is no warranty on this part”. This was the last time I ever bought anything from Leslie’s, hopefully they get out of business, I never see any customers in this store.Since they don’t offer the nylon screw anymore and expect customers to buy a new one every month or two, we went to Ace Hardware and bought a stainless steel screw for $2.75 (3/8“ x 16) it does it’s job.
