Lexus, the luxury car brand had a batch of defective paint. It was used throughout the Toyota product line. The specific color was called “Blizzard White”. In researching the problem, it was widely known and Lexus (and Toyota) sent out letters to their customers who had that color.I had that color but never got the “memo”. Why? My VIN number didn’t match the actual color that was on the car. I have the receipts, meaning screenshots of interaction with Lexus and photos of the peeling paint. It is clearly Blizzard White but they say no because they have a mismatch on my VIN. Eventually I’ll sue them in small claims court and they’ll spend more in legal fees than it would cost to do the honorable thing and address the problem. Intransigent customer service will be brought to account. When you buy a new Lexus, you’re paying a premium. For them to besmirch their upper class reputation bewilders me. I’m not going away.
