I drove my vehicle into Caliber Collision myself — it was running, driving, and fully functional when I dropped it off. After their inspection process, the vehicle has now been torn apart and deemed a total loss, and I’ve been left with it in a disassembled condition. No one is taking responsibility for putting it back together, and I’m now stuck dealing with a vehicle that is in worse condition than when I brought it in.
I will also have photos of the condition my vehicle was returned to me in, which I will be posting shortly.
At the same time, Liberty Mutual’s handling of the claim has been just as frustrating. The valuation has been inaccurate, based on incorrect vehicle details and non-comparable vehicles. Even after pointing out clear errors and having the vehicle re-inspected, they came back with the same number as if nothing had been corrected.
Between the two of them, there’s been zero accountability. Caliber tears the vehicle down, Liberty Mutual controls the claim, and I’m left in the middle dealing with the outcome.
Communication has been poor, the process has been dragged out, and I’ve had to constantly follow up just to get basic answers.
For additional context, there has even been a recent class action lawsuit involving Liberty Mutual related to valuation practices, which raises further concerns about how these claims are being handled:

This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience from start to finish. I would not recommend Caliber Collision or Liberty Mutual to anyone based on how this has been handled.
