Horrible experience. I filed a claim with Liberty Mutual after being rear-ended by their client on the interstate. LM deemed my car a total loss and gave me a low ball offer. They used vehicles that were not within my local market and we're of a lesser make and model than mine to justify their low offer. The state of Minnesota requires that they offer me replacement value of my vehicle once it is deemed a total loss yet LM insisted that they will only give me "actual value" and not replacement value. I showed them comparable vehicles in my market for sale and they proceeded to disregard the market value and reduce each by a few thousand dollars according to their own estimated "actual value". Again, disregarding the fact that they are actually required to offer me replacement value.
I was the victim in the incident and now I'm left in a far worse position then I was before the accident. I cannot afford a vehicle half as good as the one I had with the money they are offering me. Liberty Mutual is unethical, heartless, and sleazy. Disgraceful.
