Disappointing Checkout Experience

While waiting to check out, the cashier bluntly asked my wife and me, "Are you paying cash? Because I don’t take cash here." There’s a more polite way to communicate instead of assuming we would pay with cash. We informed her we had a credit card. When I asked why she assumed cash, she stated she just wanted to ask customers. After ringing up our groceries, she didn’t express any gratitude. She was friendly to the customer behind us, who shared a similar background. As an Asian individual with a Spanish name, it felt disheartening. It's vital for your staff to be trained to treat all customers with kindness and respect.
