I had been a member for years and only used roadside assistance twice. Recently, my son's truck broke down just a short distance from home, but roadside assistance denied coverage. They charge $7 a month for this service and $15 for a premium membership, yet only allow two services per membership year. When I called to complain, I was told I wasn't eligible for assistance until my membership renewed in June. I sought clarification on the $7 monthly fee for roadside assistance, but received no satisfactory response, just a vague acknowledgment of my frustration. It's hard to believe they truly understand it. It seems unreasonable for a company to charge $22 a month for a service they do not honor. How is it justifiable to pay $7 a month for assistance that is limited to twice a year? Why isn’t this cost included in the $15 premium membership? Given the numerous class action lawsuits around today, this is a company that certainly deserves scrutiny.
