I had an extremely disappointing experience with Batik Air.
I booked Business Class for a long-haul journey from Labuan Bajo to Jakarta, continuing with Emirates to Dubai and Düsseldorf. Unfortunately, the service provided by Batik Air was completely unacceptable from start to finish.
The Business Class check-in counter in Labuan Bajo was closed, meaning I paid for a premium service that simply did not exist. Online check-in was also impossible due to repeated error messages on the Batik Air website.
To make matters worse, the flight was moved earlier, resulting in a 9-hour layover in Jakarta. Despite this disruption, the staff refused to find any solution to check our luggage through to the final destination. This forced us to exit the airport in Jakarta, collect our baggage, and go through the entire check-in process again.
Because of the schedule change, lounge access is effectively lost, as check-in will likely only open about four hours before departure.
The two staff members at the Labuan Bajo counter were particularly unprofessional—constantly yawning, unhelpful, and unwilling to assist in any meaningful way.
Overall, this was a complete failure in terms of service, organization, and basic customer care. I would strongly reconsider choosing Batik Air, especially for any trip involving connections or premium class bookings.
