LMB recently completed our loft extension, and now have a beautiful master bedroom with ensuite bathroom, and home office. All the tradesmen involved in the project were friendly and hardworking, with particular thanks to Ashley, our foreman, who was incredibly helpful throughout the build and ensured that everything progressed as smoothly as possible. The WhatsApp group that was set-up was a great way to communicate with the various tradesman, and whilst it wasn’t also easy to get hold of our project manager, communication with the various contractors was good throughout the build.However, we did experience a few issues pre-build. Firstly, we used LMB’s recommended architect/structural engineer, who had to provide several re-draws due to errors in the plans. They also identified a wooden stud wall as load bearing, an error that wasn't identified until after the roof of the property had been removed and the new floor for the loft installed, resulting in additional expense and disruption. Also, when our project manager turned up for our prestart meeting, they told us that they weren’t aware that we already had a room in the loft and the rip out of the current staircase, walls, windows etc had not been included in our quote, meaning further cost for ourselves.Fortunately, all issues were resolved quickly avoiding any delay in the project and we are very happy with the end result.
