I went to London Drugs in Cloverdale to have my photos scanned. They offer a box in which you can put up to 800 photos to be scanned for $179.99 and they put your photos on a USB stick. It sounded like a fair deal even though I had just under 200 photos to scan. I had been told it would take up to 24 hours which I was fine with. However, after 48 hours, they still weren't done so I had to come back again the next day. I was okay with that as I know things can get busy.Today I began uploading the photos from the USB to a website in which I was creating a montage of photos for our son's wedding. Unfortunately, they missed scanning 3 photos so I had to go back. The rep at the counter said the person in charge of scanning was on her lunch break and it would be an hour before she was back. He said she would call me about it when she returned from lunch. I certainly understand that people need a lunch break. I waited for 2 hours before returning to the photo lab as I had not received a call. The same rep was there and he went to the back to check on the progress of my photos. He returned and told me she was working on it and it would be done in 5 minutes. Then he left for his break. I waited for 20 minutes at which point I was very frustrated and went to the Customer Service Desk. It took another 5 minutes to talk to the person at the CS Desk and then wait to speak to a manager. The manager then went to the back and came back with my box and said, "Sorry for the inconvenience." That's it, even after all I went through. I would have thought they could at least offer a partial refund for all the extra time it took me to get 3 photos scanned that should have been scanned to begin with. I will not be returning to the Cloverdale London Drugs photo lab again and I do not recommend them.
