Having purchased many items, from basic accessories to major musical instruments, I can always count on Long & McQuade for great service, knowledgeable staff (who typically are pro working musicians) and always fair pricing. I've experienced fantastic assistance from the Halifax store’s GM, John Parker, as well as great service and guitar lessons for my son at their Bedford, NS location. I also shop online at smaller drum and music shops when needed, especially in Quebec, for some of the harder to find items I’ve needed on occasion, but Long & McQuade has had me covered for years with all but my most specialized purchases. Its great when you need something and don’t have to wait on a UPS delivery, shipping charges or unpredictable taxes and duty charges from Gernany, etc. Nothing beats being able to find most things same-day in my hometown (which historically, before L&M, was far from the case).I never hesitate to recommend Long and McQuade and their great staff members in Halifax Nova Scotia, when the opportunity arises.
