We did encounter a minor paperwork issue due to a misunderstanding by one of the underwriters. However, considering the complexity of a reverse mortgage and the necessary government involvement to protect homeowners, it's understandable that some paperwork challenges may arise, potentially prolonging the loan finalization. My loan officer was excellent in navigating this process and played a key role in resolving the misunderstanding we faced. Overall, my experience was very positive, and I am incredibly thankful for the reverse mortgage, which will allow for the restoration of my historic home.
