My daughter and I have just come back…

My daughter and I have just come back from cologne Germany for the Christmas markets with love holidays it was an absolute heartbreaking nightmare. We should have been staying at the IBIS hotel near the town centre on arrival we went to the hotel with the address given which was the IBIS hotel but clearly a sister hotel. Our first view on the hotel was 3 torn broken sofas in front of the reception. We were met by a very stern male receptionist who told us you can’t come in till 3pm. We asked if we could leave our bags whilst we went for food and on our return there was people waiting to sign in they were signed in and was given their room we again asked and was rejected when I asked him why we couldn’t sign in and they could he said they live there it was then I realised it was an immigrant hotel. I asked for our bags he again said no so I called my daughter who was waiting outside and she told him to give us our bags but whilst she was outside some immigrants we’re making suggestive remarks at this time we decided we wouldn’t feel safe staying there. We rang love holidays and spoke to Linda who told us to stay at that hotel she wasn’t interested what we had to say. So we phoned again spoke to another person who was sympathetic and said she would try and sort something and to stay by the phone my daughter was tooing and froing emails but still nowhere to staying 7 hours later my daughter found an airb and b as it was booked everywhere and we had already paid for our accommodation the air band b cost £160 euros and on arrival it was a student one room accommodation with 2 mattresses on the floor I have photos of this and we did send the same photos to love holidays it had one chair communal showers and shared toilet. It was a total disaster, disgraceful disgusting place but we had no other choice. Still to this day my daughter hasn’t got anything sorted for a refund or compensation as I am a 66 year old disabled person with a very low immune system and haven’t stopped crying since being back. This holiday has distressed me enormously and it’s all down to you Loveholidays
